Sovereign Care Counseling

Biblical Counseling Ministry

Sovereign Care Counseling functions as a steadfastly Reformed biblical counseling ministry, its identity rooted in the foundational principle of Sola Scriptura and the affirmation of the Bible's complete sufficiency to address the full scope of human affliction and life complexity. The ministry's mission is fundamentally tied to the Sovereignty of God, aiming to glorify Him by offering diligent, gospel-centered care to individuals, couples, and families. This approach recognizes that the deepest issues of the heart are only overcome through the transformative influence of Sola Gratia, where genuine change and sanctification are the result of God's electing and sustaining grace alone, applied by the Holy Spirit. By offering direct counseling, Sovereign Care Counseling seeks to strengthen the body of Christ and ensure that all spiritual growth and ministry are ultimately performed Soli Deo Gloria—to the glory of God alone.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, relational issues, or some sort of addiction? There is hope and healing available.

Sovereign Care Counseling exists to provide compassionate, diligent soul care, drawing from the sufficient and authoritative truth of God's Word to meet life's deepest challenges.

We counsel with the unwavering conviction that all lasting transformation is the work of God's sovereign and electing grace, guiding individuals, couples, and families toward genuine, heart-level change and Christ-centered wholeness, all for His glory alone.

Why Biblical Counseling?

Secular counseling models, at best, address symptoms by relying on humanistic philosophies, psychological theories, and worldly wisdom. In contrast, biblical counseling sees the ultimate root of all non-organic personal struggles as sin and the ultimate solution as repentance, faith, and transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This framework is built upon the sufficiency of Scripture, asserting that God's Word provides all the necessary truth and wisdom for life and godliness 2 Peter 1:3 and is fully adequate to counsel and equip the believer 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Instead of compartmentalizing the spiritual life, biblical counseling recognizes that every human issue—from anxiety and depression to relational conflict—is ultimately a worship issue, stemming from brokenness and the heart's tendency toward idolatry.

By focusing on Christ's completed work on the cross and the sovereign grace of God, reformed biblical counseling aims for lasting heart change that brings glory to God, rather than merely temporal adjustment or self-esteem building. We don't just teach coping mechanisms; we apply the Gospel to the depths of the soul, guiding individuals to put off the old self and put on the new self in Christ Ephesians 4:22-24.
